Torrent basic terminology!!

We all use torrent these days,

But, may of us don’t kind of understand many of the terms they use..

I am gonna explain in short way of what it means..

Torrent is a peer-to-peer connection where the files will be downloded form unknown services and providers.

.torrent – Its contains the details of the file you want to download.

seeders – People who have downloaded the same file and can provide you the parts of the file you want ( acts as servers to give you file)

leechers – They are just the downloaders and dont upload anything(we dont have any use of them)

peers – These are the people who are currently downloading and uploading the file at the same time.

Magnet link – Instead of downloading the .torrent file, we can just use the magnet link and paste in the URL, whenever needed.

To download a complete file, there should be atleast 1 seeder as because some times we cant get all the parts from peers.

Hope this helps.!!!

Web Whatsapp !!!!!

After temporary banning the people for 24hrs, who are using other clients for the whatsapp like whatsapp+. Whatsapp has released it’s web version for millions of people.

For all the people who are wondering, its and extension for the present whatsapp, where you can use whatsapp on web browser.Currently it is available for the Google Chrome client only.

so, how to use it ??  Currently it is available for the whatsapp with Android, BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10, and Windows Phone versions of the app.

Requirements:

  • Updated Whatsapp application on Android, BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10, or Windows Phone version.
  • Google chrome as a web browser.

Steps for web whatsapp:

1. Update your application of whatsapp on mobile.

2. Just visit this link ” web.whatsapp.com “, and then scan the QR code on the screen with you mobile whatsapp.

For scanning,

how to scan the QR code.

3. That’s it. Now, you can see all the conversations in web.

What to know:

Your mobile should be always connected to the internet ( To reduce data usage, connect your mobile to Wi-Fi ) as the web client receives the messages from the mobile phone.

As a new message arrives, it first arrives in the mobile and then from mobile to the web client(browser).

As, the whatsapp doesn’t store the messages you send, your mobile is needed to check the previous message.

All the messages will not be deleted from the mobile. They will be untouched.

You can enable desktop notifications from the chrome on desktop. It works on android chrome also(difficult in scanning if using whatsapp on same mobile).

For the people like me, if you are getting the website like this,

12

just right click on the half QR code you can see and then open image in new tab to scan the QR code, and then you are good to go.

How to delete history in chrome ???

How to delete the Internet History ??

Web browsers keep a record of your browsing history to make it easier for your to find pages that you have looked at before, but have forgotten the name of the URL. The downside of this is that privacy isn’t provided here, so anyone who use the same computer as you can easily see exactly what web pages you have been looking. Here’s where we show you how to browsing delete history on Chrome.

1. After opening the chrome, you need to look at the top right corner for the 3 horizontal line icon and click it.

2.Then check for the line where History tab is shown and click on it, where you will be opened a new tab called History.

3. There you can see all the webpages you visited and select them and then on the top of it select “remove selected items” tab and then “remove”.

4. That’s it, You have removed the items you want to be private.

Else, You can directly open chrome and press “ctrl+H“, to skip to step 3.

Instead You can use an Incognito mode(ctrl+shift+N).

Here, pages you view in incognito tabs won’t stick around in your browser’s history, cookie store, or search history after you’ve closed all of your incognito tabs. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be kept.

Hidden Offline Game in Google Chrome

Whenever your Wi-Fi give you lemons, you can make lemonade with them by turning the chrome into a small endless game. You can actually play the game only when you are not connected to the internet.

If the dinosaur shows up in chrome, like this

chrome-canary-dinosaur-640x241 - Copy

just hit the spacebar button to save the dinosaur and play the endless game.

lOxddQL

Your only goal is to avoid hitting cacti. Then you can see the high score also. Just hit the refresh the button to reset the game and play again.

Now enjoy the game whenever you Wi-Fi is not working. 🙂

If you have anything to add or something to say, then please mention it in comments.
